  • First Meeting
  • Second Meeting
  • Third Meeting
  • Fourth meeting
  • Fifth meeting

First Meeting

You can meet Mason for the first time in the forest located south-east of Strawberry and south-west of Riggs Station (train station).

Speak to Mason, who is taking pictures of the wild animals. Soon, a coyote steals Mason\’s bag, and you must chase after it. You do not need to kill the coyote as the animal will eventually drop the bag. Pick up the bag and return it to Mason.

Second Meeting

The second meeting occurs in a forest located far north of Strawberry and north-west of Wallace Station railway station.

Your task is to protect Mason while he takes pictures of the wolves. Do not attack the wolves surrounding the heroes until you get a mission objective to do so. To kill the wolves, you will need at least a shotgun and can use Dead Eye. Be careful not to shoot Mason. Afterward, you can collect a few wolf skins.

Third Meeting

The third meeting may take place near Emerald Ranch, where Mason has problems photographing a group of wild horses.

You must drive the wild horses near the marshes where Mason is staying. Follow the wild animals to \”direct\” them to Mason. If necessary, press the shout button and stop when a single horse disconnects from the rest of the group. You must drive it back into the group.

After Mason successfully photographs the horses, you will receive a gift – a Wolves Photograph, from which you protected the photographer in the second part of the mission.

Fourth Meeting

You can meet Mason in Bluewater Marsh, north of Saint Denis, where he wants to photograph a few alligators. Board the boat with Mason to help him.

There are three locations marked on the map where you can capture photos of alligators. You can visit them in any order. At two of the locations, you can simply steer the boat towards the alligators to allow Mason to take the photographs. However, the third location, shown in the picture above, is more challenging. To capture photos here, Arthur needs to step onto the land, approach the alligator, and then quickly run away as soon as it becomes aware of him. Afterward, he can return to the boat.

Your goal is to take photos of all three alligators before finally returning Mason to shore.

Fifth Encounter

You\’ll find the mission marker for this encounter slightly south of Valentine. Mason is standing near the edge of a cliff, hoping to photograph eagles. This is a brief encounter, during which Arthur will rescue Mason from falling off the cliff. Afterward, you won\’t receive any more mission markers related to Mason.
