Quest start

The A Piece of the Past quest begins when you acquire a part of the Fish Fossil. You\’ll find it while digging in Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins during other quests, so it\’s hard to miss.

Talk to Catori (1)

Take the Fish Fossil part you found to Catori, who you\’ll find at the Museum in the northern part of the town. If she isn\’t inside, you can catch her walking around the building.

Catori will explain relics to you, give you the second part of the Fish Fossil, and teach you how to restore it.

Reconstruct the Relic

The Relic Restoration Machine is located in the middle of the Museum, near the right wall. It\’s used to repair relics, so use it as soon as you can.

You\’ll need 5 Data Discs to restore the Fish Fossil. You should have several in your backpack by this point in the game. If not, you can find them at the Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins or by following the methods described on the Research and Data Discs page.
