Introduction to the Town in Darkest Dungeon

This is a guide to Darkest Dungeon.

The town in Darkest Dungeon is the only safe haven for your heroes in the game. Here, you can hire new heroes, heal them, upgrade their equipment and skills, and embark on new quests. You can also bury those who did not survive the battles.

You can upgrade most of the buildings in the town (except for the Graveyard and Town Square) using Heirlooms found in dungeons. Each building has 2 to 4 upgrade trees that represent different rooms. Upgrading these rooms will improve the quality of services or lower their costs. For example, the Tavern has three trees for the Bar, Gambling, and Brothel. As you upgrade each tree, it will require more Heirlooms. Currently, buildings can be upgraded up to level six.

The Graveyard only provides information about your fallen heroes and their death circumstances. The Town Square is currently unavailable.
