Find a path to the surface

The quest begins in the Myrkr Tunnels in Svartalfheim. Use the Blades of Chaos to ignite the red barrel and clear the path through the grate. Along the way, defeat monsters and use the Leviathan Axe on Twilight Stones to deal extra damage.

Upon reaching a locked gate, ignite the oily substance with the Blades of Chaos to cause an explosion and unlock the path forward. Defeat more monsters and speak with Sindri. Move the cart to reach a puzzle involving Twilight Stones.

Interact with the chain and ask Freja to create a seal at the designated spot shown in the screenshot. Use the Leviathan Axe to hit the seal. You can now release the chain and approach the frozen object. Use the Leviathan Axe to hit the shield behind the bars.

Defeat the Bergsra and use the new pathway.

In the next room, solve two puzzles involving troughs and water wheels. For the first puzzle, freeze a section of the trough above the wheel to reveal a narrow passage. For the second puzzle, interact with the control mechanism to rotate one of the troughs.

After dealing with Nightmares and opponents, climb to the upper ledge and reach the water through the control mechanism. Unlock a shortcut along the way and return to the hall with the troughs.

Complete the second part of the puzzle and defeat any encountered enemies to progress through the Myrkr Tunnels.

To proceed in the game, follow these steps. First, create a seal at the highest trough and throw the Leviathan Axe at it. Then, retrieve the axe and hit the lower through above the second wheel. This will unlock the exit from the room. In this area, you will have to face two Bergsras. To defeat them, use traps and attack them one at a time. You can also pick up a grate and complete a climbing sequence. Once you exit the room, you\’ll find yourself in a new region called The Forge.

To release the lift, you need to destroy the Nightmare Haunt. Along the way, destroy the monster nests to prevent them from appearing. Investigate the locked gate and the lift and learn that the platform leading to the forge is blocked by a nest of monsters. Choose the mountain path to the right to get there. In the new area, you\’ll solve a puzzle that involves setting a wheel in motion. Use the Blades of Chaos to set bushes on fire and access the lift. Climb a nearby shelf and freeze the geyser using the Leviathan. Then, throw the axe at the second geyser to activate the lift. After reaching the destination, wait for the lift to return and use it again to climb higher.

Once at the top, throw the Leviathan Axe at the newly exposed geyser. After freezing the geyser, use the mechanism to set the wheel in motion and unlock the exit. Return to the very bottom and destroy the monster nest. Then, use the platform to reach The Forge.

To repair the switch, help Brok repair the broken lever by reaching the interactive crystals and using the axe on them. Return with the ingredients to the dwarf and repeat the process two times.

Finally, return to the damaged lever and meet The Lady of the Forge. A new weapon, the Draupnir Spear, will be unlocked. To equip it, press d-pad down.

To test out the new weapon, a group of monsters will appear where you can use the spear for melee attacks or throwing. You can also detonate the spear and later unlock upgrades and runic attacks. The spear\’s skill tree also allows for spending XP on new abilities.

To find the path down the mountain, use the spear to unlock the way forward. Destroy the monster nest and investigate the area on the left to find a rift where you can throw the spear and detonate it to break the barricade. Use the spear as a climbing rod to reach higher ledges and knock over large boulders. After defeating the 2 ogres, find another weak point and detonate the spear. Descend using the rope.

To return to Sindri\’s, travel to the nearest Mystic Gateway and expect battles with Einherjar warriors. Use the cart and climb using the spear to reach Nidavellir Beach and return to Sindri\’s House. Talk to Sindri and rest before following Faye\’s marked route by swimming in the next main quest, Unleashing Hel.
