Introduction

  1. The case becomes available after completing the A Gilded Cage story case.
  2. Reward: 70 coins.
  3. Unlockable achievements: Curse Correction

Beginning

The case begins at the Drinking Dutchman bar in Silverton.

Your first objective is to eavesdrop on a conversation between two men. The correct answers are:

  1. Police at the place,
  2. Work of a Siren,
  3. Beach by the cemetery.

Beach

The beach is located south of the cemetery in Miner\’s End. Its location is marked on your map.

Speak with the police officer on the beach and use all dialogue options. He will leave the case in your hands.

Begin your investigation with the most obvious: the body. Take a closer look at:

  1. trace of lipstick on the forehead of a man,
  2. mouth,
  3. hands,
  4. boots.

Find and examine the footprints along the shore – they appear to be from someone dragging the body.

You should find a wine bottle nearby. Take a closer look at its contents and label.

There are more footprints near the bottle. Follow them to Jon, who is examining the victim.

After examining all available clues, open the briefcase and analyze the wine sample. The difficulty of this task depends on the chosen difficulty level. The correct solution is shown in the screenshot above.

Track a different objective from your briefcase and examine the footprints. They will lead you to a small pier.

You will find a cigarette butt lying on the ground of the jetty. Examine it from all angles – you should notice traces of lipstick on it.

After examining all the clues, return to the police officer and inform him that foul play is suspected. It is time for the next part of the task.

Visiting the Police Station

If you want to learn more about the case, you need to visit the police station. Once inside, proceed straight to the archives. Select the following options:

  1. Crimes – Violent
  2. Subjects – Victims,
  3. Districts – Scaladio.

Exploring the Park

The park is where the second victim was found. To get there from the police station, head east.

There are several objects to examine in the park. Start with the bench marked with a 3. Here you\’ll find a newspaper, a broken bottle on the ground, and a cigarette butt.

Next, move on to the well. There may not be anything interactive there, but you should still examine it.

Across from the well, on the bench marked with a 2, you\’ll find a shawl, a letter, and a pouch that need to be examined.

The bench marked with a 4 contains a sailor cap, a bottle of wine, and cigarettes.

After you\’ve gathered all the evidence, you can reconstruct the events. The order is as follows: a woman pushes a man into the well, a woman kisses a man on a bench and smokes a cigarette, and a woman and man drink from the bottle.

Once you\’ve successfully reconstructed the events, approach the well. Here you\’ll find a matchbox, a silver fork, and a cloth.

Returning to the Bar

Now it\’s time to return to the bar where you started the case. This time, you\’ll need to access the interior.

You\’ll need to wear a disguise to enter the bar. Put on the sailor uniform, sailor cap, and full beard.

With your disguise on, you can talk to the barkeeper and learn about another accident or murder. You can choose to continue with the case or drop the subject and go to the room. See below for information on the final victim.

Investigating the Accident

Head to the Giant Sparrow Club in Scaladio, located next to the city hall.

When you arrive, you\’ll see a policeman and a corpse. Talk to the officer and then search the body for clues. Inspect the head, bricks, broken bottle, and slip marks.

Searching the Room

After speaking with the bartender, go to the room of one of the sailors. This room is marked in the screenshot above.

Inside the room, you\’ll find a sleeping sailor who is too cold and tired to talk. Examine the desk, where you\’ll find multiple bottles of alcohol.

The final clue, a photo, can be found on the chair. Inspect it to conclude this part of the investigation.

Garden of Delights

If you are currently tracking the objective Letter from Elisa, head east from the bar to reach the red light district. You can speak with the working women there, and one will direct you to your next destination.

Continue your search for another woman. Once you find her, engage in a lengthier conversation and present all the evidence you have collected. She will provide additional information to help you solve the case.

The prime suspect is nearby, recognizable by her white dress. Follow her story until she invites you to her room.

Ending

You will need to investigate the room. Start with the poisoned wine on the table next to the door. Jon will suggest disposing of it to prevent any accidental consumption.

After examining the bottle, open the next door to find a small bedroom with a letter on the dresser to the left.

The wine can be emptied into the flower pot to prevent harm to others.

The last thing to check are the letters on the dresser next to the bed. Once all the clues have been collected, a woman will appear for a normal conversation. Your dialogue choices will affect her reaction, but regardless, you will receive coins and complete the case.
