you to find hidden locations or complete specific tasks. Make sure to explore every corner of the game world to maximize your chances of getting them all.

  • You can track your progress towards the trophies in the game menu. This will help you to stay focused on what you still need to do to get them all.
  • Finally, remember that getting all of the trophies is not necessary to enjoy the game. They are just a bonus for those who want to fully immerse themselves in the world of The Witcher 3 and challenge themselves to complete every aspect of it.
  • To obtain the platinum trophy in The Witcher 3 by playing the game once is challenging but feasible. Missing several trophies is the primary obstacle one may face since some of them are easy to miss, and redoing quests or sequences may not always be possible without save files. Additionally, some trophies are more difficult to unlock on the Death March difficulty level, such as those related to combat or collecting Gwent cards. However, completing only the main storyline on Death March is enough to unlock the Walked the Path trophy, and one can lower the difficulty level afterward to complete the remaining achievements. It is advisable to create manual saves at the start of each chapter to protect oneself from making bad decisions and to make it easier to obtain achievements related to combat after finishing the game. One should also pay attention to trophies that are easy to miss, such as Card Collector and Full Crew. The former requires collecting Gwent cards throughout the game, while the latter requires recruiting all allies for the final battle. The trophies that one may miss are listed at the top of the description to help players unlock them. The platinum trophy is only available on PS4 or PS5, and the DLCs Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine are not required to obtain it. The bronze trophy Lilac and Gooseberries is associated with the main storyline, and one can find Yennefer of Vengerberg by completing the Lilac and Gooseberries main quest in the Prologue and the White Orchard chapter, making it difficult to miss.

It is important to note that witcher contracts are a type of side quest that requires Geralt to track down and fight monsters in the area. In total, there are 26 contracts that need to be completed to earn this trophy. It is advisable to complete the most difficult contracts after finishing the main storyline to have an easier time defeating the monsters.

    Kingmaker

The Kingmaker trophy is another bronze trophy that can be earned by completing the subplot about choosing Skellige\’s ruler.

It is crucial to complete this subplot before starting The Isle of Mists main quest, or the trophy can be missed. Geralt needs to complete a few side quests on Kaer Trolde, such as Possession, Lord of Undvik, King\’s Gambit, and Coronation, to earn this trophy. These quests are listed on the Ruler of Skellige page and our walkthrough.

    Assassin of Kings

After completing the Final Preparations quest, Geralt needs to choose the first dialog option when meeting Philippa. If everything is done correctly, Geralt will unlock the Reason of State quest, which will lead to the achievement. Our walkthrough provides detailed information on these quests.

    Friends with Benefits

The Friends with Benefits trophy is a bronze trophy that can be earned by completing the subplot involving Keira Metz.

It is crucial to act correctly during Geralt\’s last encounter with Keira or complete her subplot before proceeding to the finale; otherwise, the trophy will be missed. Keira Metz is a friendly witch from Velen, and all her quests can be found on her page in the Quest lists chapter.

    The Witcher 3: Trophies Guide

If you\’re looking to complete all the trophies in The Witcher 3, then you\’ll want to pay attention. Here\’s a guide to help you unlock some of the game\’s most elusive trophies.

First up is the Full Crew trophy. To unlock this, you\’ll need to bring all possible allies to Kaer Morhen for the battle against the Hunt. Be careful when recruiting characters, as you don\’t want to choose the wrong options. Make sure to recruit everyone on the list before advancing to the story\’s finale. Information about the recruitable people can be found on the Complementing the crew in Kaer Morhen page in the Epilogue chapter.

Here are the people you need to be particularly careful when recruiting: Ermion, Hjalmar, Keira Metz, Triss Merigold, Vernon Roche and Ves, and Zoltan Chivay.

Next is the Dendrologist trophy, which requires you to acquire all the abilities in one tree. You can unlock this trophy fast by getting the abilities from the yellow skill tree.

The Enemy of My Enemy trophy is earned by using the Axii Sign to force one opponent to kill another. Do this 20 times. To unlock this, you must first unlock the Puppet skill. Set this ability to active and remember to hold down the button to activate it. Try to reach the skill\’s maximum level and use it during fights with weak opponents who can quickly die.

Finally, the Humpty Dumpty trophy requires you to destroy all monster nests in the game. This trophy is easy to obtain, as you\’ll come across monster nests throughout the game. Simply destroy them all to earn the trophy.

Good luck on your trophy hunting journey in The Witcher 3!

Witcher 3 Trophies: Tips and Tricks

    Aard Entropy

To unlock this achievement, you must kill 10 opponents by knocking them off high places using the Aard Sign. The key is to fight in areas with high balconies and cliffs. If necessary, lure enemies to these areas and use Aard to knock them off. Remember that the opponent must not only be pushed back but also fall into the abyss.

    Environmentally Unfriendly

To get this bronze trophy, you need to kill 50 opponents using the environment. Fortunately, the game counts various ways to eliminate enemies using environmental elements. Try detonating poisonous swamp gas with Igni in Crookback Bog or destroying insect nests and explosive crates with the same sign.

    Kaer Morhen Trained

You can unlock this achievement by performing 10 effective counterattacks in a row without getting hit or parrying. To counter, press the counterattack button just before the enemy\’s attack reaches Geralt. You don\’t have to attack the enemy again after a successful counter. It\’s best to try this in a fistfight with a larger group of bandits and without ranged weapons.

    Can\’t Touch This

Kill 5 enemies in a fight without taking damage (except for Toxicity) and without using the Quen Sign to get this trophy. Fight groups of bandits and use other signs besides Quen, such as dodging. Don\’t get too far away from the enemies, or the counter will reset. If you need to, lower the difficulty level.

    This is the Evilest Thing…

Use Dragon\’s Dream bombs to ignite the gas produced by a burning opponent and cause an explosion to unlock this trophy. You need to do this 10 times. Find, buy or make Dragon\’s Dream bombs and use Igni to set fire to at least one opponent before throwing the bomb. Repeat this 9 more times.

    1. To set a creature on fire, you don\’t have to kill it. Just causing a gas explosion will do.
    2. You can replenish your bomb supply by meditating. Since Geralt can only carry 2 bombs at a time, you\’ll need to replenish them at least 4 times.

    Mutant

    Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Fill all mutagen slots.

Comment: Mutagens were covered in detail in the Character Development chapter. In short, they can enhance Geralt\’s skills and stats when placed in available slots.

You can fill the four slots after reaching level 28. You can also place different types of mutagens, not just ones of the same color.

    Butcher of Blaviken

    Trophy type: silver

How to unlock: Kill at least 5 opponents in under 10 seconds.

Comment: This achievement is not difficult. Attack weak creatures with low levels, such as rats or wild dogs, to get it early in the game.

Use the Igni sign or area damage bombs to make it easier. If necessary, lower the difficulty level to increase enemy vulnerability.

    Triple Threat

    Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Kill 3 opponents in one fight using 3 different methods (swords, bombs, crossbow, Signs, etc.).

Comment: This trophy has a complicated description, but it\’s easy to fulfill. Play on easy or normal difficulty and fight a large group of opponents, such as bandits or wild dogs.

Focus on one enemy at a time, using different methods for each one. Use an offensive Witcher sign or area damage bombs for the last opponent to end the battle early. Don\’t move too far away from opponents to avoid resetting the kill counter.

    Brawler

    Trophy type: silver

How to unlock: Defeat Olaf, the Skellige champion of unarmed combat.

Comment: This is part of the Fists of Fury subplot, where you must defeat several opponents using fists. Defeat three weaker warriors first before challenging Olaf.

    Overkill

    Trophy type: silver

How to unlock: Make an opponent suffer from bleeding, poisoning, and burning simultaneously. Do this 10 times.

Comment: Look for stronger opponents to avoid killing them too early. Inflict all three negative statuses before the opponent dies.

    1. Bleeding can be caused by using the appropriate crossbow bolts.
    2. Poisoning can be caused by throwing a bomb or firecracker that sprays gas.
    3. The simplest way to inflict burning damage is to use the Igni sign.

    Master Marksman

    Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Kill 50 human and nonhuman enemies by hitting them in the head with a crossbow bolt.

Comment: This achievement is one of the most challenging in the game as only headshots count. Use the Lightning Reflexes ability from the Fencing category to slow down time and aim at enemies\’ heads.

Target weaker, low-level opponents to ensure a single headshot is enough to kill them. Lower the difficulty level to weaken enemies\’ attack strength.

    What Was That?

    Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Attack, counter, cast a Sign, and throw a bomb (in any order) within 4 seconds.

Comment: You may need multiple attempts to unlock this trophy. Counter, attack, throw any bomb and use any witcher sign in quick succession. Opponents do not have to take damage from the bomb and sign to unlock the trophy.

    Even Odds

    Trophy type: silver

How to unlock: Kill 2 monsters you have a contract on without using Signs, potions, mutagens, oils or bombs.

Note – This trophy can be missed. Beasts defeated during Witcher contracts don\’t respawn.

Comment: You have the freedom to complete this achievement however you choose. For best results, defeat the Shrieker and Wyvern early in the game. Both monsters can be defeated without using Signs, potions, mutagens, oils, or bombs.

    Globetrotter

    Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Discover 100 fast travel points.

Commentary: In The Witcher 3, roads signs are used as travel markers, as demonstrated in the image above.

At the start of the game, the signs are not visible on the map and must be discovered as you explore the world. They are often located near villages, quest locations, and roadsides. Fast travel points are represented by green icons on the map, and we have included them in our world atlas maps. With over 100 fast travel points in the game, you don\’t need to discover all of them.

    Pest Control

    Trophy Type: Silver

How to Unlock: Destroy all monster nests in the Velen/Novigrad region or in Skellige.

Commentary: Monster nests are a unique type of location that can be marked with question marks on the world map. We have identified the locations of the nests on our world atlas maps. Upon reaching a nest, players must defeat the monsters guarding it and then throw a bomb into it. Try to acquire different types of bombs and always keep a few in stock.

This trophy can be obtained by destroying all the nests on one of the two main maps:

    1. In Velen and Novigrad, there are 24 nests, guarded by lower level monsters.
    2. In Skellige Islands, there are only 5 nests, guarded by higher level monsters.

    Card Collector

    Trophy Type: Bronze

How to Unlock: Obtain all gwent cards available in the base version of the game.

Commentary: Gwent rules can be found in a separate chapter of our guide, along with a list of players. Each defeated player rewards the player with a card. Players can also purchase new Gwent cards. However, certain unique cards can only be obtained in specific places, so players must complete the following quests:

    1. A Dangerous Game – Keep the cards instead of accepting payment.
    2. Gwent: Old Pals – Face Zoltan, Roch, and Lambert.
    3. A Matter of Life and Death – Play with three people during the ball.
    4. Plot – Play with rescued Talar after completing this quest.

Note: This trophy can be missed if the player misses the only opportunity to obtain one of the cards for the collection.

    Gwent Master

    Trophy Type: Bronze

How to Unlock: Defeat Tybalt and win the gwent tournament held at the Passiflora.

Commentary: The Gwent tournament is part of the High Stakes side quest in Novigrad. Players should not attempt this quest immediately after unlocking it and should instead prepare a strong deck by collecting valuable cards from the same deck (their preferred one).

Note: This trophy can be missed if the player loses in any of the four rounds of the Gwent tournament.

The tournament consists of 4 opponents that must be defeated one after the other. It\’s recommended to use the save option in between matches because if you lose to any of the opponents, you\’ll be out of the tournament and won\’t be able to achieve the trophy.

    Let\’s Cook

    Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Learn 12 potion formulas.

Comment: This achievement is easy if you explore locations to find loot, which is the best way to discover new potion recipes. Alternatively, you can buy formulas from herbalists and other traders to speed up the process.

    Bombardier

    Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Collect the formulae for 6 different bomb types.

Comment: This trophy is similar to Let\’s Cook. Bomb formulas can be found while exploring or bought from traders. The Herbalist\’s Hut to the north-east of Oxenfurt is a good place to buy formulas. To avoid losing gold, save the game before buying six formulas.

    Bookworm

    Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Read 30 books, journals or other documents.

Comment: This is an easy trophy because it includes all types of books, documents, and notes. Interactive items can be found while exploring or by interacting with notice boards.

    Power Overhelming

    Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Have all possible Place of Power bonuses active at the same time.

Comment: Places of Power are shrines that provide temporary bonuses to statistics. The easiest way to achieve this is by exploring Velen and Novigrad and visiting the five Places of Power related to specific witcher signs. Use the map from the Places of Power in Velen in our guide and fast travel to remote Places of Power before bonuses expire.

    Brawl Master

    Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Complete all fistfighting quests in Velen, Skellige and Novigrad.

Commentary: To obtain the following trophy, Fast and Furious, you must win all 11 horse races in the game. It is important to save the game before each race to replay it in case of a loss. During a race, it is essential to conserve the horse\’s stamina to avoid losing the race. The Munchkin trophy requires reaching character development level 35, which can be acquired by completing as many side quests as possible. The Fire in the Hole trophy requires destroying 10 monster nests using bombs. Geralt can only carry a limited number of bombs, so it is essential to use them wisely and meditate when out of bombs. Fist of the South Star trophy can be acquired by defeating an opponent in a fistfight without taking any damage. This can be achieved by competing during the Lilac and Gooseberries main quest in White Orchard or during the Fists of Fury subplot, but the enemies in the subplot are quite strong. Lastly, to obtain the Geralt and Friends trophy, you must win a round of gwent using only neutral cards, such as Zoltan Chivay, which are not marked with any banner on the card\’s left edge.

In White Orchard, players can obtain a Gwent card that will help them achieve the All In trophy. This trophy requires players to play and win a Gwent match using three hero cards in one round. Hero Cards are special cards featuring important characters from the game and can be collected throughout gameplay. The Shrieker trophy is earned by completing the Contract: Shrieker quest, which involves defeating a flying monster. The Fearless Vampire Slayer trophy requires players to complete the Contract: The mystery of the Byways Murders quest and defeat a vampire named Ekkima. The Woodland Spirit trophy can be missed if players refuse to fight the forest monster during the In the Heart of the Wood quest. Before attempting any of these quests, players should ensure that Geralt\’s level is not lower than the recommended level. Witcher contracts can also be completed after finishing the main story.

Choosing the option to track down and kill Leshen is crucial. You must meet Sven to proceed with this quest, but make sure Geralt\’s level is not below the recommended level. If necessary, you can return to the mission after completing the main story to lower the difficulty level.

Comment: This trophy is also associated with witcher contracts and requires completing the Contract: An Elusive Thief quest, which involves defeating a Doppler – a shapeshifter who takes on Geralt\’s form.
