Unlocking the quest

After completing Imelda Reyes\’ first race, Albie will send you a message following the Percival Rackham\’s Trial main quest.

Visit the Spinwitches Sporting Needs in Hogsmeade again.

Rewards for completing the quest

  1. XP;
  2. Broom Upgrade – enabling faster flying;
  3. The Sky is the Limit side quest unlocked.

Purchase a broom enhancement from Albie Weekes

Open the trade window and buy the broom upgrade for 1,000 gold. It will be automatically installed.

Speak with Imelda Reyes

You\’ll learn that you can try the upgrade out in a time trial. Imelda Reyes can be found near Irondale, and the easiest way to get there is by flying on the broom.

During the conversation, express your interest in joining the race.

Place in the Hogwarts South Broom trial

The rules are the same as the previous quest. You have to fly through the rings and reach the finish line in less than 2 minutes and 26 seconds. A successful flight should take about 2 minutes.

Remember not to bypass the rings (you will receive time penalties if you do so), use the speed boost (L2/LT), and fly through the yellow spheres to charge the boost bar faster. Also, be mindful not to hit any trees.

Talk to Imelda again. You can repeat the trial, and after completing it, check the list of the top players (you don\’t have to be first).

Return to Albie Weekes

Go back to the broom shop in Hogsmeade to share your flying experience with Weekes.

You won\’t receive the second broom upgrade right away. You have to wait until you get a message from Albie (owl mail). This will also initiate the last quest related to upgrading the broom.
