Challenges to Overcome

Challenge 1: \”A Pin Pops a Balloon\”

Kill a Mancubus using your Pistol. The first Mancubus can be found after using the green teleport at the beginning of the level.

Challenge 2: \”Two Mouths to Feed\”

Kill two Cacodemons with a single shot. You can do this at the second switch with a skull. Two Cacodemons will be present there. Lure them close to each other and then shoot them with a charged Gauss Cannon. The BFG can also be used.

Challenge 3: \”Wait For It\”

Kill 10 demons using Explosive Barrels.

Reclaiming the Crucible from the Tomb

The level begins near a yellow and blue door. Jump down to the left and enter the green portal.

On the other side, pick up the first Data Log and kill the demons that appear there.

Use the nearby barrel to kill some of the demons and complete part of Challenge 3.

A Mancubus will appear. Kill it with your Pistol to complete Challenge 1.

After the battle, turn left and go up the stairs to find an artifact Data Log and an Argent Cell.

Go back up to the newly unlocked room with the red switch. Kill the nearby demons before using the switch.

The switch will open the door below, revealing another red skull to press and a horde of beasts to defeat. This is a great place to complete Challenge 3.

Lure two Cacodemons close to each other and then shoot them with the BFG to complete Challenge 2.

Pick up the skull and use the Automap located in the niche on the right.

A green portal will be ahead of you. Turn the lever hidden to the right before using it to unlock a Classic Map. The entrance to the map is located near the room with the Argent Cell.

Use the switch behind the yellow door and then use the transporter on the right. Kill all the beasts that appear and pick up the blue skull. Move it to the blue door and use the switch hidden behind it. More beasts will appear.

Finally, face two Barons and remember to save ammunition for stronger weapons. Once both creatures are dead, go to the very bottom and enter the hole located there.

Use the Data Log in the form of an artifact and jump even lower to reach the end of the level.
