Hidden Place 1 – Abandoned Offices

A hidden area can be found in the western part of the Abandoned Offices.

Locate the barricaded office space shown in the picture above. Use any power or Service Weapon to get rid of the furniture.

Note that the wall to the adjacent office is weakened. Destroy it, for example, with the help of telekinesis or a Surge. In the hidden place, you\’ll find a chest that can be looted.

Hidden Place 2 – Observation Deck

The secret area can be found in the Observation Deck.

During the first visit to this location, Jesse must restore the power supply and unlock the elevator shaft visible in the background.

On the left is another unlit window – as shown in the attached picture. Jump into it to discover a hidden place. At the bottom of the shaft, there is a loot chest.

Hidden Place 3 – Turntable

A hidden area can be found at the Turntable location in the western part of the sector. Select the Eagle Limited AWE Entrance fast travel point.

Walk westward to enter a room with a Turntable, as shown in the picture.

Jump down, turn 180 degrees, and use, for example, telekinesis or a Surge to destroy the weakened wall shown in the picture.

Enter an unlit area – you can find a lamp here and move it using telekinesis. The game will reward you with a skill point after walking a bit further, but examine the area thoroughly to find two chests that contain some loot.

Hidden Place 4 – Shifted Offices

The secret area can be found just after entering the Shifted Offices on the north side.

Before heading south, turn 180 degrees and start using levitate to reach the higher floors of this location.

The hidden place is located on the top floor – you can find a loot chest there.

Hidden Place 5 – Shifted Passage

A hidden area can be found at the location of the Shifted Passage. It is best to move to a checkpoint adjacent to the location of the Loading Bay AWE.

The guide explains how to reach a secret area in Control. To do this, players must first stand in a higher floor with a yellow edge where an indestructible monster wanders around. They then need to tear down a part of the wall using the Surge weapon or telekinesis to enter the secret area. Players can use levitation to move around the area and reach the room with a weakened wall. They must destroy the wall to reveal a loot chest and interactive radio. Once players reach the location with a clock, they can solve an optional puzzle by stopping the clock arrow at the right times. The correct order is I, VII, VII, I, VI, IV, IX, VII. Solving the puzzle raises the floor with the clock, allowing players to jump in and levitate to the lower ledge. They will then have to fight against opponents controlled by Hiss in a red-lit area. After the battle, players must find the hanging switch and use it three times to teleport to the Oceanview Motel. In room 226, they will find a key and a bonus cutscene/vision of Alan Wake – Valhalla Nursing Home. To return to the real world, players must open the door with an inverted black triangle and use the switch three times.
